FC Barcelona to Host First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga over two years since relocating for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
